Hardscape Design & Installation

About the Project

Here are some pictures of a retaining wall we installed on a residential property. The wall was approximately sixty feet long and three feet tall. The area along the driveway was a creek bed.

Before the installation, the ground was being held back by railroad ties and cinder block that contained no base and no drainage tile. The existing wall was being pushed over by the pressure from water flow and movement of the soil behind the wall.

The entire existing wall was demolished and hauled away. The work area was very tight, so the entire project was done by hand. Drainage tile and backfill of washed gravel was installed behind the wall and in front of the wall so water flow would no longer be an issue.
